Dr. Manamela Soccer Challenge Tournament Launch



On the 27 November 2020 at Dula Fela Guest House we attended the Dr. Manamela Soccer Challenge Tournament Launch and Live Draw on social media, aswell as on different broadcasting stations.

The event was attended by different guests from all corners of the country, soccer stars like Thabiso Mokoena,Kgomotso Masiya from Black Leopards,Former KRC Genk/Bafana Bafana defender Aaron Mokoena, Coach Dylan Kerr of Black Leopards and other stars,journalists and musicians.

Acknowledgment of people who made the launch & tournament a success, mentioned that they will support the initiative. They promised to help in terms of providing sporting facilities to the community,in this manner they feel humbled to know that the tournament is for development.

He mentioned that they are fully committed in supporting the initiative,as it focuses on development of young players. Added that 'we can later appreciate the players when they are on the top level,to say that they come from this tournament'...He also appreciated the reliability,honesty & responsibility of Phuti by encouraging him to keep working hard.

When he delivered his message of support he just emphasized on the issue that tournaments are for development in the rural areas. He made a wish that all the big leagues should not participate in this tournament,and high division players should not partake in this rural development tournaments.

He encouraged people to keep consulting at Dr. Manamela medical centre.He also acknowledged the consistency of community of Moletjie that they take this tournament serious and their support is exceptionally well. He also made some team spirit vibe to the teams that attended to prepare well,added by requesting that they don't cause unnecessary fights during tournament. Lastly mentioned that people will have a great time.

KEYNOTE ADDRESS BY DR. MANAMELA

During the deliverance of his speech he started by hinting that the tournament was established 3 years ago,also appreciated Mr. Matsi for the gigantic work & efforts portrayed when planning the event.

He also mentioned that they managed to identify 2schools that they will be sponsoring with school shoes.Made reference to olden days by saying that "when we grew up we used to see shoes as luxury"...'Wish that atleast one/few players be picked up from the tournament,to play for some teams in the big leagues of RSA or international.' He lastly wished all the teams that will be participating luck and have a good training.


The live draw was done by the soccer stars and teams knew their opponents.This tournament will partake at Moletjie Ceres on the 12-16 December 2020 under the #DiskiYaMagaeng, only 7 days left from today.

Tshepo Rakoma died a brutal death

Image: Social Media Kibi Josias Leboho who is 34 years old assertedly shot and executed his partner in the parking area of Polokwane at Shoprite Supermarket, on corner Grobler and Landros Mare Street 6th May 2021 (Thursday afternoon). Bullets perforated her body, she was found inside a motor vehicle in the parking area, it's avowed that when Leboho arrived at the shopping centre, an argument rose between them and he took a firearm and shot her countlesly, eventually she died on the spot. Polokwane Softball League road to the quarter finals

Game of Sunday at Seshego. Thabang Letsoalo the Chairman of Polokwane Softball Association is very proud of the progress of teams because this initiative is all about developing teams in the communities and nurture their skills and talents for them to be better players.They are happy with the level of play and the improvement of the teams. Since the league has started there are no injuries from any teams, because all the teams have prepared very well, meanwhile Mentz Spartans lost their 2 games with mercy rule.  They hosted 1st playoffs on the 13th December and the game that was supposed to happen on the 16th was postponed due to rain, and 'the pitch was not playable'.They had playoffs on the 20th December last Sunday at Seshego. It is said that the top4 teams will qualify for the playoffs,is the rule used for the playoffs.Now they are playing single round games,the top4 teams will be the qualifiers for the playoffs quarter finals & finals that will be held next year Januar

Match between Moletlane Texas and Seshego Raider s Limpopo Softball Association is yet in another season of Super League Campaign where "Fight for Survival" makes teams to toss and turn, as-well as shiver and mumble to be on top to qualify for the finals. This Super League has kick-started on the 27 December 2020, unfortunately due to restrictions of COVID-19 pandemic they had to pause a bit until resumption on 22 March 2021. Friendly game in preparation of the tournament to happen next month. Fast Feet DC required treatment and the battle on the middle field, with slim chances to net.
