The misconception about Tshepo Rakoma's death by her boyfriend has broken family deeply.

The deceased Tshepo Rakoma from Seshego Zone 4, who was 31 years of age had 3 children (Age 9, 4 and 1)of which 2 she had them with the suspect Josias. Growing up she was described as "tomboyish", basically was sweet, fighter, bubbly, ever smiling, jokingly person and most of all her elder sister Tebogo cited that her personality speaks volume through pictures.

They clarified that her and accused suspect were boyfriend and girlfriend, yet his family came in their family to show interest to marry Tshepo (Thiba Sefero). Also went deeper explaining their relationship, cited that perpetrator was very abusive, manipulative and obsessed unto her.

Let's go through the incident as to how it happened alluded by family

There was this other day where suspects colleagues jokingly said Tshepo is cheating on him, arrived home to confront her about those rumour jokes when she denied accusations he will beat her until had bruises on  face and strangle her sometimes if not getting what he wants to hear. 

On Thursday suspect went to deceased workplace, packed his taxi in front of the door and asked of her whereabouts they did not give him a precise answer because they knew their situation. Mind you this Taxi Owner few weeks ago he got a gun from porn-shop somewhere in Westernburg. Later his brother Percy took the taxi. 

Lunch time one colleague wanted to enjoy lunch with her but she didn't want her to worry as dame needed alone-time, by so doing it really saved her colleague some trauma. She went upstairs to dig in her lunch also locked herself in the car, as she didn't want disturbance. Little did she know suspect fired 5 shots, one at passenger window, one driver window and 3 on windscreen this was on a close range. When their mother went to verify corpse called by colleagues not police and police pushed her aside to not temper with evidence, she was found in a pool of blood and food in her mouth, also seemed like accused murderer ambushed her looking at the position she was in that car and there was no way a guy could have been with her in that car as on footages it would have shown everyone who went up or came down.

When Josias realised the mess he did, that's when he threatened to jump from almost 500m building of Shoprite at Grobler street and they also cited that he would never have jumped from there because "he is a coward." They really wished to see and ask him where did it all go wrong? When asked what could have been the reason behind the murder, they said it could be jealousy as at times he will be bossy not allow her to go out to think she might meet other man outside.

Family explaining how they now realise Tshepo's silence during argument with accused murderer

Josias and deceased have been together for about years in a relationship that had it's ups and downs. What worried the elder sister was that when they are around people it was relationship goals and behind closed doors it was cat and mouse. They described her as an open spoken person with her situation with accused suspect, what we found not easy to believe was the mere fact that alleged suspect would pride himself about things he did for his children as if it is someone's responsibility to take good care of his blood.

Aunty Aletta Lephalala said the first daughter Rati(9years) early morning of Saturday mentioned that something of this nature will occur, because I saw his look when my mom requested him to leave and she regrets that something should have been done, because mostly she will see incidents of abuse and GBV from a show called ufelani on moja love. Yesternight before her death Tshepo narrated everything to her aunt and therefor aunt confronted Josias of stocking, attempt for murder and abuse, apparently he denied accusations with all his might. The sister and aunt feel like blaming themselves for not seeing all that coming from a distance. Tshepo used to tell them that "le tlile go mpoloka Josias a mpolaile"... Family is saddened by passing of their beloved one, meanwhile counselling will be provided for those children and all family members to let this tragedy help them heal. 

Rakoma Family is requesting provincial SAPS to apologise publicly for the misinformation that dragged them in the mud, if not so legal action will be taken.

ThulaMsindo Rapoto- Women taking back safety spoke that they are always there in support by taking necessary steps and they will be with them during this time of sorrow even after the funeral. Made a vow to hold their hands and take this journey with them through trials. When Tshepo decided to come back home it was not a mistake and him doing this shameful incident it's something he planned a long time ago and he was also stacking her every time of the day. He never had the guts to face his fears and decided to be a moster. She added that we have a long way to go, reclaiming righful position on this earth of people in Seshego and globally. Right now he is in jail enjoying nice life. She needs strength to face him to know how long are we going to have this?

Parents have to acknowledge that something went wrong.

Vincent Makhura former employer- describes Josias as one person who is hard working, clean and all this incident that happened never heard rumours of him being abusive. Yet I heard this sad news I was shocked.

#noexcuse and Seshego Community Against Gansterism and Crime Team

Chairperson Vincent Kunutu of SCAGAC-We have about a month organising man to man dialogues, as there are other options to solve the problem. They don't want to see more incidents of GBV, as-well we say not in my name . It's a clear indication that the couple had crackes in their relationship as they never thought this will get worse, and some people are smooth talkers in closed areas they burst. The misinformation made by SAPS Spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo that statement they issued of love triangle gone bad, family felt offended as it seemed as if the accused perpetrator had the right to shoot Tshepo when found in action. He took an initiative to contact investigating officer Mabitsela to tell the family and not hear rumours on the streets they had to act. 

More information regarding the funeral and other arrangements will be issued soon. Monday it's court day for Josias the accused murderer at Polokwane Magistrate Court.
