TLB Boxing Tournament


 During the weekend on a Saturday at Soweto Klipsruit Sports Centre,there was a (FIGHT NIGHT) under the theme "STILL ALIVE AND PUNCHING" where the fight was interesting and intriguing to watch. Some fighters made threats of quitting boxing because their opponents were very challenging.The main fight was of Thulani Mbenge vs Katembo Kuvesa.

The boxers were fighting for Jnr Lightweight males, Jnr Featherweight males & females,main supporting bout,Gauteng provincial light weight title and main bout:ABU Welterweight males.

The footwork of Melissa Muller and Ellen Simwaka was exceptionally well,Simwaka gave Muller a huge K.O,Prince Dlomo punched Xolisani Ndongeni with a T.K.O and Thulani Mbenge showed Katembo Kuvesa stars by few rounds of K.Os.

During interview with boxers

Simwaka acknowledged the coming back of boxing as it's a challenge for female boxers to do a male dominating sport and they're not recognised.She mentioned that Melissa expected a rematch,as she claims she was robbed 1st round it was Melisa won,2nd round was a draw & the last rounds she made sure she knocked out Melissa.

She artued an interesting sentence: "losing is not the end of sports or a career,losing makes us to become stronger again,we go to gym and prepare where we stop & think we were not good"...

Ndongeni says that fight he saw stars and the moon was the last fight for him,as Dlomo showed him flames.He took the fight to keep fit not for rankings,the fight was a preparation for America.He feels like he has failed himself and he is not coming back anytime soon.

Dlomo  felt very happy to win against the greatest fighter,as he was always watching his fights to see all the strategies and tactics to beat him at his famous sport.He mentioned that he played more games and in Russia learned that you have to win through K.O with points you will be robbed. One thing that made him take Ndongeni go see the stars,moon and aeroplane was the left hook punch that resulted in T.K.O

Katembo Kuvesa was very happy for the way the fight was and he was not happy that he lost the fight on his away fight.Thulani Mbenge is the new champion of ABU Welterweight.

Tshepo Rakoma died a brutal death

Image: Social Media Kibi Josias Leboho who is 34 years old assertedly shot and executed his partner in the parking area of Polokwane at Shoprite Supermarket, on corner Grobler and Landros Mare Street 6th May 2021 (Thursday afternoon). Bullets perforated her body, she was found inside a motor vehicle in the parking area, it's avowed that when Leboho arrived at the shopping centre, an argument rose between them and he took a firearm and shot her countlesly, eventually she died on the spot. Polokwane Softball League road to the quarter finals

Thabang Letsoalo the Chairman of Polokwane Softball Association is very proud of the progress of teams because this initiative is all about developing teams in the communities and nurture their skills and talents for them to be better players.They are happy with the level of play and the improvement of the teams. Since the league has started there are no injuries from any teams, because all the teams have prepared very well, meanwhile Mentz Spartans lost their 2 games with mercy rule.  They hosted 1st playoffs on the 13th December and the game that was supposed to happen on the 16th was postponed due to rain, and 'the pitch was not playable'.They had playoffs on the 20th December last Sunday at Seshego. It is said that the top4 teams will qualify for the playoffs,is the rule used for the playoffs.Now they are playing single round games,the top4 teams will be the qualifiers for the playoffs quarter finals & finals that will be held next year Januar

Match between Moletlane Texas and Seshego Raider s Limpopo Softball Association is yet in another season of Super League Campaign where "Fight for Survival" makes teams to toss and turn, as-well as shiver and mumble to be on top to qualify for the finals.
