The past week on the 21-25 October 2020,the MEC of Health Dr Phophi Ramathuba visited Mopani district as she was leading a team of specialists providing services like: REPRODUCTIVE MEDICINE, UROGYNAECOLOGICAL, PLASTIC AND RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGEONS, PAEDIATRIC SURGEON,ENT SURGEONS, RADIOLOGY,MAXILLO FACIAL SURGEON, ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON, UROLOGIST AND OPHTHALMOLOGY under the theme #RuralHealthMatters. At Letaba Hospital we visited paediatric unit, surgical ward,Xray,orthoraedic and theatre pit, Dr C.N Phatudi Hospital we spoke with blind patients. In Letaba some patients waited their turn to be operated and some got operated on different operations.   There was a young lady who travelled around the province for about 4 months,for her childs operation on her leg,she didn't have enough money to pay for private hospital.She did loose hope for a period of time and now when this initiative was introduced,her child was operated successfully and she was very excited.  During the weekend on a Saturday at Soweto Klipsruit Sports Centre,there was a (FIGHT NIGHT) under the theme "STILL ALIVE AND PUNCHING" where the fight was interesting and intriguing to watch. Some fighters made threats of quitting boxing because their opponents were very challenging.The main fight was of Thulani Mbenge vs Katembo Kuvesa. The boxers were fighting for Jnr Lightweight males, Jnr Featherweight males & females,main supporting bout,Gauteng provincial light weight title and main bout:ABU Welterweight males. On Friday the 16th October 2020 at Honeymoon Lodge which is situated at Seshego Zone 7,Boy Mamabolo Foundation was launching a new baby called Seshego Soccer Revival. At the event they had the legends, veterans,players,supporters from different Football clubs and the venue was packed with football lovers and performance from one of Seshego Afro-pop musician Mahlatze Vokal as he entertained the people who came to the event.
